Here in the shop the safety of our staff and customers is paramount in all that we do.  With this in mind we have to restrict the number of customers at the counter to THREE at any time and we operate a one-way system around the shop.  All doors and barriers are cleaned regularly throughout the day and there is a hand gel dispenser at the cash desk.  Our friendly butchers will aim to serve you as quickly as they can and will place your order on a table at the cash desk for you to collect. You should not be kept waiting too long and hopefully the weather will stay good if you have to queue outside!!!!

Our Opening Hours are Monday to Saturday from 7.30am until 5.00pm.  We will be happy to see you in the shop but if it helps you we continue to provide our FREE DELIVERY SERVICE which operates Tuesday to Saturday (with Milton of Leys and Culloden/Balloch areas on a Tuesday and Friday). Orders can be placed through our website at or why not give us a call on 01463 233066 and if necessary leave a message on our answer phone.

We continue to hold good stock levels of the finest Scotch Beef, Lamb and Pork as well as fresh Chicken and our usual range of award winning products.

We all still need to be aware that the virus, although reduced, has not gone away yet so please continue to follow the guidance and remember to STAY SAFE and STAY HEALTHY.

Please also note that our FREE DELIVERY SERVICE operates daily from Tuesday to Saturday, we will not be able to provide a delivery service on Mondays but the shop will be open. 

Deliveries to Milton of Leys and Culloden areas are now scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays.


Stocks of all meats in the shop are now good including our Potted Meat which is back available again.

We are delighted to have been voted the winner of the Independent Retailer of the Year category in the inaugural Inverness City Centre Business Awards.

Inverness Business Improvement District (BID) in association with the Inverness Courier spearheaded the initiative by asking the public to initially nominate businesses to be considered and then to vote for one of the selected finalists in each section. With 77 businesses nominated and almost 14,000 votes lodged it shows just how important the various businesses are to the people of Inverness. Presentation of the awards took place in May 2017 at an event hosted by Nicola McAlley at the Mercure Hotel. Congratulations to all winners and finalists in each category.

Simply go to the PLACE YOUR ORDER page on our website and complete the details of what you require and then select the COLLECT BY CAR option from the drop down list. You will be asked for your car reg number and estimated time for collection and leave the rest to us.  All orders must be paid before collection so we will contact you for your card details.

For collection, simply pull in at the side of the shop, pop in and pick up or give us a toot and we will take your order out for you and then you can go.

 North of Scotland Sliced Sausage Champion

We were very pleased to be crowned the 2014 North of Scotland Champion for our Traditional Sliced Sausage in a recent evaluation event run by the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders Association.

The event was held in August and attracted 70 entries from all over Scotland.  Once the top two in each of the five areas were established they were mystery shopped for a second stage judging.  After further scrutiny by a panel of experts at City of Glasgow College our Sliced Sausage saw off the competition and was selected as the North of Scotland Champion.  The pictures show Duncan receiving the award from Bryan McAusland M.D. of sponsors McAusland Crawford and our Champion Sliced Sausage.
